I have very fond memories of this game. Glad to see it's still popular.

Too bad I don't have anyone I could play this with. Everyone these days are all about modern shooters.
I was actually just reminiscing about RTCW yesterday night, played it religiously for a few years when I was 12/13, did anyone else play on the modded servers where players dropped gold bars + any extras they held on death, and the more you picked up the slower you became, but when you touched a flagpole there was a multiplier for points depending on how many you had.
Was such a fun gamemode. I think I'm gonna download Enemy Territory as I can imagine it at least has [I]some[/I] players left.

Unfortunately this game is modded beyond recognition. It is impossible to find a vanilla server, and every server that exists is either fake (see CS 1.6 and bot filled redirect servers), or has so many mods that arent very good, or literally dont do anything recognizable. It takes close to 20 minutes to join a server due to downloads, and once you get in, it has some sort of game breaking mod that causes you to run 8 times faster or jump 12 times higher, something that can just be done by svars in the first place
love rtcw and i actually played through it again not too long ago. still as fun as ever.
Too bad RTCW's multiplayer is all but dead thanks to the free release of Wolf ET, had fond memories of the Market Garden map.
