So, a little over a month ago there was a surge when we moved into our new house and my surge protector failed, and it killed my computer's PSU, but I'm not 100% sure that's all it killed.
I will be going over to a friend's house sometime in the next week or so since our wiring in the new house is faulty and has to be fixed before it will run my computer. I have replaced the power supply, but I need to know how I would go about checking other components for damage.

Why is you wiring faulty? How many vacuum cleaners, TVs, and light bulbs has it destroyed?
