Would i be able to play games like 'Just cause 2' & ' Red Orchestra 2' At max settings?
I currently have NVIDIA GT 230 and it suck.
That's a very high end card and should definitely max those 2 games if the rest of your PC is halfway decent.

Thanks :v:
What's the rest of your specs?
I5 CPU 650@ 3.20 GHz * 2
RAM: 6GB
Yeah you're sorted.

You should have no problem running those games at a high-resolution.

Power supply as well.
Power supply as well.
460 W
(Win)
Upgrade to a 700W Power supply. At least 650...
You need a better PSU first, on Nvidia's website it's 500W minimum.
A 700 W should last you a good 3 or 4 more years before 700W becomes the minimum to GPUs.
I'm pretty sure the HD 6870 is around the same price and has better performance
Actually the 6870 is cheaper. I just received mine in the mail today (upgraded from a 9800gtx+, huge difference)
I got a GTS450 1GB for free since my dad works for nvidia. Gaming with it on my 1024x768 LCD proves flawless performance with visuals maxed in new games like Bulletstorm and Alice 2. So yes OP, 560 is a great card.
I'd go with this, I wouldn't reccomend ATI as many have problems with the godawful software, as well as OpenGL support.
You won't need 700W, it matters much more what model and brand you buy, than what wattage that seems to be written on the unit. The 6870 is cheaper, yes, but it's not a match for the GTX 560. The counter-part for the GTX 560 is the 6950, which is a bit more expensive. I'll find ye' a PSU after I get home.
What's the 460w? 460w is more than enough for a GTX 560 but the power supply itself is the issue, many factors involved.
Also the GTX 560 and 6870 are neck and neck, both do better than the other in different games/resolutions/DirectX level, the 560 tends to be a tiny (5%) faster in the majority of games, but the 6870 is faster in others.
Personally I'd get the 6870, pretty much the same speed for $30 less, also has better crossfire scaling so getting a second down will out perform two 560's.

The counter-part for the 6950 is the 560 Ti, the 6950 kills the 560.

I just drove a Golf GTI. Performence is good, with comfortable seatings and easy steering. So yes, the Audi R8 is a great car.

I was saying that my card, being underpowered compared to the 560, performed great.
(I also like when my machine POSTs, in the VGA BIOS there's a message saying "ENGINEERING RELEASE - NOT FOR PRODUCTION USE" before the regular BIOS continues it's POST.)

Wouldn't a GPU BIOS update fix that? Also, you're only playing at 1024x768, that's really easy to play anything at with anything, but yes I get your point.
I've never updated a GPU BIOS. It's been almost a year since it was updated. Says October 14th, 2010.
So i'll get a 'XFX Radeon HD6870 1024MB' and A 'Antec High Current Gamer 520W' Right?
You may not even need a new power supply, what's your current? As in, what's the brand/model not the wattage.
Although if you do plan to get another later on you'll need a decent 550w or higher, but for now you may not need one.
There's virtually no information on the power supply which is a shame, I'd get a new one just to be safe, there's no way of knowing if they use a multi-rail system specific to the core components which might cause problems if the PCIE uses a low amp rail.
First, open the side and make sure the case supports ATX power supplies, a lot of HP systems I've opened up (almost all) use proprietary or mini-ITX power supplies, you'd be better safe than sorry to just check, or even better open it up and check the power supplies specifications (there will be a sticker on the side showing the rails and safety information).
[editline]22nd September 2011[/editline]
Also if you do get a power supply (ATX) there's no upgrade-ability on your computer for a second card without a revamp of pretty much the entire system, so a CX430 (ridiculously good value for money) or Neo Eco 520w are pretty much perfect for you.
Get the CX430.

You really think 336w on the 12v is enough for a 6870?

It will, but it will be cutting it for any upgrades, go with any of these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171060
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207018
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371030&Tpk=Neo%20Eco%20520w
We all pretty much forgot that the 6870 uses two 6-pin connectors, only the Antec actually do have that.
Either stretch your budget a bit, or get the rebate: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207013

I actually forgot about that, but he can just get: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812196870
and one of the ones I linked, or get the Neo Eco and not bother with the adapter.
The Neo Eco is perfect anyway.
Oh btw Red Orchestra 2 is an unoptimised piece of shit. So we cannot tell you if you gonna max it out.
Depends on your luck etc.
