So I'm looking to build a new computer. My price range is about $900. I'm looking for a CPU that can run games like TF2, Left4Dead2, CSS at somewhere around 70fps and Bad Company 2 with somewhere around 40-50 hopefully. So far I've chosen the Radeon 5770 as my definite graphics card and am using this psu http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341018. I'm at a loss for what to choose for the cpu.

I'm assuming the OPs american.
Drop the antec earthwatt, get the OCZ you chose, and if you already have an harddrive drop that and the money you've saved should get you a Radeon 5850

Why would you assume when he posted a Canadian newegg link?

Because I'm an arrogant xenophobic American who thinks Americans the only country.
That setup will work beautifully on a 500 watt PSU.

I want to leave room for future upgrades.

A quick Google shows this link.
First off, you didn't list a resolution, so these benchmarks show a range. Next, notice AA and AF are used, if you are willing to turn it off or down a lot you can expect better framerate than listed.
Notice that at 1680x1050, 5770 is between a 4850 and 4870 in performance. If you turned off AA, I'm sure you'd be over 30fps if not over 40fps.
But the 5850 is over 40fps even with 8xAA. Even at 1024x768 the 5770 can barely crack 30fps with 8xAA.
