Well thats pretty fucked up.. But yeah i would guess this is only for the first few months because they want some extra subscribers to their music service.

This isn't something that I personally will ever really miss. I never used my PS3 for streaming or music.
The only thing I use my PS3 for today, apart from GTA V, is streaming movies from my computer onto it.

I assume they will add the local music playback and playing files on your computer after launch, but it still would be nice for it to be ready at launch.

On my 360 i play my own music while gaming a lot, this is actually a kind of a bummer for me.. But meh, i doubt they will have this long.
