The devs are pretty awesome. They pretty much said everything that is coming up, no bullshit.
THREE MAPS?
They expect you to pay $10 for THREE MAPS? Are you fucking kidding, EA?
As crummy as the campaign is, its nice to see they at least expand it into the new maps as opposed to drop it dead.

Why are you blaming EA? It's respawn that's doing it.

Shit for Halo it costs $15 for Three Maps, Yet I don't see anyone bitching.

$10 for three maps is cheap as fuck considering how much work goes into Titanfall maps.

It's been said a dozen times in other Titanfall threads but Respawn has full creative control over their game. If you don't like something going on with the game it's most likely not EA's fault.

Also adding onto this, the season pass is only 25$
That's half of what they usually are.

They have full creative control of the content they make but the publisher is the one who sets the price.

Yeah because 10$ is so much right?
They are releasing gamemodes for free so it's a fair trade.

For three maps? Yes, extremely.
You all bitch at CoD for releasing 5 maps at 15. This isn't any better yet you're all saying it's okay. Unbelievable.

I love how nobody remembers the Halo 3 Map Packs.
The only one i bought was mythic because it actually was worth the money, and the maps themselves were great. Thank God that Heroic went free too.

I actually didn't even know there were map packs for Halo 3 until now.
Why are you blaming EA? It's respawn that's doing it.
No. Publishers set the cost of dlc, Respawn has nothing to do with it.
Respawn is a developer with full control over the creative content, not the purchase price.

It's because people are willing to pay $10-15 dollars. If people were willing to pay $30 for three maps, that would be the cost. Simple.
I thought EA was the publisher in the traditional sense in this case in that they just took care of marketing and distribution.
Shit for Halo it costs $15 for Three Maps, Yet I don't see anyone bitching.
Halo actually has custom games and map layouts and therefore infinite options for 3 maps.
Titanfall doesn't.

Yes. Distribution includes setting the cost of a package then doing oversight on the studio's submission of the DLC to digital marketplaces.
Publishers aren't just responsible for the distribution of physical copies.

They just said at PAX they are going to make it so you can set different options in the new Private matches. Also, the value of a map should be based on how well they are made, not how much you think they should be.
How many maps would justify a $10 price tag? How much is a map worth?
How many maps would justify a $10 price tag? How much is a map worth?
Depends on your tastes.
Well regardless, if the maps are as good as the maps they have right now they will be easily worth 10$.
I don't think any map in Titanfall is bad.

I understand this, but no one should be thinking this price is okay. It's a rip off.

It's fine for you to say you don't agree with the price, but who are you to say what it's worth?
You can't really put words into others mouths.
How many maps would justify a $10 price tag? How much is a map worth?
Honestly I think 5 would be more resonable for a price of $10. At least at that point is a much better value than CoD's map packs. This is actually worse than CoD's map packs.
If separated, CoD's maps would cost $3 a pop.
If Titanfall's maps were separated it would cost $3.33 a pop.
If CoD's maps are a better value then you are clearly doing something wrong.

So you're saying that CoD's maps are a better value solely because of quantity rather than quality. With that logic, 100 shitty maps for $10 is a better value than 3 maps for $10.

Quality over price value of map. Besides, I got the game and season pass for 45 bucs total.
I look forward to Titanfall Complete Edition where I can buy the game plus every map for $60, maybe then it'll be worth those $60.
You can get it for cheaper currently.
