First off, here are my specs:
GFX: 9800GTX+
CPU: E6600
RAM: 4 GB PC6400
PSU: 500 W North-Q
Mobo: P5QL PRO
A few months ago I bought a 9800GTX+ to replace my 7900GTX. This upgrade gave me a major boost in some games, while others showed little to no improvement at all. So I have come to believe that my CPU is the bottleneck in my system as most of the games that are performing bad are very CPU intensive. The worst performing game I play is Warhammer Online, where I get about 5-15 fps in the medium-big fights even at the lowest possible settings.
So I am thinking of buying a q9550 to replace my E6600 as it is fairly cheap (compared to half a year ago) and packs a lot of punch.
I don't know if the PSU is the problem here but I don't think so, because the graphics card seems to run at the right clocks.
