Anyone know how to fix the resolution on an old CRT tv?

The tv doesn't have a resolution width/height adjuster and the picture is cut off by the edges. Sometimes it "jumps" slightly when there's an electric surge then returns to normal size.
Pics of xbox menus being cut off:

It only blocks off the very edges but it still pisses me off.

Get a better TV. (No you can't fix it)
alright let me rephrase this.
Crt's have always cut off picture on my xbox. maybe because the screen is rounded and it cant adjust far enough.
Crt's are stuck on one resolution, for pc's 1024 x 768 or below and the xbox is above that
Uh, what?
Old TV's have underscan or overscan or whatever, you can't do anything about it and I have no clue why it was ever percieved to be a good idea.
Get a flat panel boy.
