I am thinking of traveling to South America. Maybe perhaps Guyana? What advice do you have for a tourist and how could I make the most of my stay for least amount of money as possible?
Become a drug mule and you could turn a profit.

Learning Spanish is a big one for saving money, if you have a lot of time now. It'll allow you to do things more natively rather than having to go through mostly touristy shit that costs extra. Even just going through duolingo will do you a lot of good. I've heard some really nice things about Peru if you're interested in historical stuff. Peru was basically the home base of a lot of pre-colonial civilization such as the incan empire and the conquistadors didn't burn all of it.

I don't mind learning new languages but that requires time I may not have. I may not see the end of today let alone be around two years to learn a new language by immersion. I do like being in the jungle. Thinking of camping hiking or the like. My main concern is access to money and crime. The last time I went on a trip was to the USVI and almost got stuck there due to a theif taking my debit card. It was a fucking hell of a time trying get back because without that card I could not pay for food, hotel, plane tickets. I don't want to repeat the same mistake. Don't want a situation where I could lose my passport or some thing vital.
