They managed it with the original on PlayStation 1.
Wheres my PVP?
Probably going to sell it to us in an expansion pack, rather than give it to us, as it should have been from day one

Good old Blizzard.....
Seriously though, I think that they would be better off sticking with PC, though D3 would be quite nice to play with a controller since there is no major amounts of keybinds, there will be problems with Battle.net and Trade chatting for those without access to a USB keyboard or some other device (if they even decide to include that) not to mention the hassle they would have with patches and expansions, that said, it would be nice to see them re-entering the console market once again

PvP wont be in an expansion lol.
The next expansion is most likely 2014, D3 has been out like 7 months.
The PvP blog will be coming soon, PvP probably by the end of January
Prepare to break that A button.

lol don't hold your breath lol
I'm pretty sure they promised PVP for the original release. So, if they do release it to us in an expansion that we have to pay for.. I'm going to be SUPER pissed.
Who even wants to PVP in a game like Diablo.
Why does my gut tell me that this will come out on the Wii U?
Woah wait, I haven't played D3 since release, but PVP still isn't out? That's awful.
Woah wait, I haven't played D3 since release, but PVP still isn't out? That's awful.
Well kinda, it been on the PTR for a couple months.
Woah wait, I haven't played D3 since release, but PVP still isn't out? That's awful.
It was never going to be out before late this year anyway so if it does come out early next it's not a huge delay.
still not going to make me want to play it though.
Why do people seriously think PvP isnt coming until the next expansion?
You really think Blizzard would release an expansion this in 2013? The year HoTs is going to be their big game, especially just a year after D3?
And do you really think they would wait that long for PvP?
They said the PvP blog is coming soon, soon doesnt sound like May of 2013 or next expansion, even with Blizzard time.
Good old Activision Blizzard.....

Fixed that for you.

Do you have any idea how many times they've delayed and bullshitted about when PVP is coming?

Once. Literally once. They have only ever said that it wasn't going to be in for launch but will make a future patch.

One time, when they lied about it coming out a few months after release.
Also Activision has NOTHING to do with Blizzard, it has ALWAYS been Vivendi, the company that owns both Acitivision and Blizzard, they are the guys who are in control.
Why would people even want to play Diablo 3 PVP in the first place.
There reason they haven't got PvP up is because they aren't working on it.
I'm pretty sure they promised PVP for the original release. So, if they do release it to us in an expansion that we have to pay for.. I'm going to be SUPER pissed.
Well, for Cataclysm they completely redid the 1-60 content and you didn't have to buy cataclysm for it
Who even wants to PVP in a game like Diablo.
Who wants a game with half as much content as the original
Who wants a game with half as much content as the original
I think it's disingenuous to suggest that PVP was half the content of Diablo 2.
I think it's disingenuous to suggest that PVP was half the content of Diablo 2.
You're right the rest of the half is made up of 8 player servers, offline mode, and a coherent story.
Offline mode and number of players isn't even content though.
You are really bad at trying to change a conversation.
I will be surprised if this does come to console.
I wouldn't release it though, especially with the $40,000 patch prices
Who wants a game with half as much content as the original
The original D2 really didnt have a lot of content.
No runes, no Jewels, and actually had less content than Diablo 3.
D2 didnt even get really good until the expansion, which is I think Diablo 3s only chance to completely redeem itself, the AH and RMAH will still be there, but if they actually listen to the fans and add a shitload of content and items, then Diablo 3 could become as good as LoD.
Offline mode and number of players isn't even content though.

I think it's ridiculous how in D3 there's a max of what, 4 or 5 player's in a party, as opposed to D2(LoD)'s 8.
[editline]12th December 2012[/editline]
I guess it's one of the reasons why I waited on its purchase, only to wait and see how people quit playing it soon after, and/or complained about it, the lack of PvP so far, AH being a failure(?) and so on.
And now I have no intentions to ever buy Diablo 3.

It was likely a decision made based on game area size and quest flow. Similarly to how CS and Call of Duty generally don't support more than 16 players in your average server. Small numbers just work better for certain games.
[editline]12th December 2012[/editline]
And yeah I did the same thing with Torchlight 2. It seems the shelf life of ARPG games these days is extraordinarily low.
Which is funny because I played Diablo 2 and Titan Quest especially for years.

Its because their is such a big catalog of games now, back then PC was pretty much dominated by Blizzard and Valve when it came to multiplayer.
