Are ASUS laptops worth it? I saw some good ones, but I don't know if I should get one. I've been looking around, and say two really nice ASUS's at a local BestBuy and a nice Sony as well, I have heard good things about ASUS laptops (except the batter life) but I have heard nothing about Sony laptops.
I need this laptop by Monday night, so ordering online isn't a option, I would prefer a asus, since I don't know those exact models, I hope that those specs help guys, Also, I would like the price to be $1100 or less.
I'm limited to these two :

cheapest one is smaller and more portable, the more expensive one is a tad better but you'll probably hate having a 17" laptop. I know I did.
I regret that HP pavillion 17" laptop.. Curse myself for buying it and selling it for 1/5 of the price.
Try and get the smaller ones. My old 14" Dell Inspiron 600M had a sweet little Mobility Radeon 9000 in it that ran all source crap pretty well, and it would be about 5 years old today. Under 15" is portable. i just absolutely hate those 17" derp machines.
Get the $1000 ASUS.
My 17" is great as a desktop-replacement, but I don't carry it around much. I wouldn't cope with a netbook with my huge hands.
