I accidentally pulled the plug on my phone (Which has a MicroSD card in it) while it was connected as a USB Mass Storage device. My phone then proceeded to tell me that the SD card was damaged and may need formatting.
Plugged it back into my computer via a card reader, and I can see the card in windows.
However, if I try and access it it can take anywhere up to a minute to forever (When I restart my machine) to show me the contents of the folders. If I actually try to copy them across, it never finishes counting files. If I try and use CMD to run chkdsk, it freezes at 0%. Othertimes I just can't access it at all.
I'm not too concerned about the data on it, will try to recover it tomorrow with PhotoRec, but is there anyway to try and save the card itself? I don't want to go out and buy a new 8gb MicroSD card.
I'll try formatting it with the Panasonic SD Card for matter once I try and recover and see if that fixes it. Just thought I'd get some other opinions before I do something non-reversible to it. :v:
Formatting will fix it. I've had this problem before
