I've bought 2 of them before, the second one because the first one failed, and the second one failed anyways. I'm not touching that shit ever again.

For me, Thermaltake and Corsair PSUs have never failed on me so I'm going with them. EDIT AGAIN: Just realized I forgot the Hard Drive! Silly me!

Silly me!
I passed my antec true power trio 650w to my brother 5 years ago. Currently I am using an Antec TPQ 850w. They're fine, trust me. Also, getting a smaller PSU just because you think it's an overkill is bad, especially since the OP has a motherboard with 2 PCIex16 slots. Expansion is always nice to have in case you want to...
How does the 5770 compare to the 4890?
The 4890 is slightly faster, but the 5770 is capable of DX11 and Eyefinity. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/HIS/HD_5770/30.html
What Antec PSUs have you had that've died? Not all of their PSUs are excellent, but most of them are, including the forementioned.
It doesn't mean they are all shit. They are some of the top rated psus on the market.
Actually, Antec PSU's are imo cheap PSU's that comes with decent cases. I'd rather get a decent brand such as corsair, ocz or cooler master.
