Hey guys, looking to build a PC for gaming and its been a long time since i last did one myself, thus out of date with all the new bits and pieces... What I have: OS, keyboard, mouse - speakers and headphones too if they count. What i need: A full tower PC + A monitor, but i do have a crappy one that i could use, so forget the screen for now, just budget the the pc. Thanks in advance!
You could try looking around this subforum for threads >1 month old with a budget matching yours and either copy straight off or use as inspiration. Or use google.

How is this (had to mod the picture because of my tiny netbook screen) Total inc vat: £792.91 93 over budget but that includes a screen so only really 4 over budget excluding the screen... EDIT: Already have a couple of large HDs that i can use, thats why i have only included an SSD in the mix - is such a large SSD worth it?
I personally would only go for a 120gb ssd and save some ££ but it depends on if you realy need the space or not.
Well i was thinking about that, because since my last reformat the only games i have installed is arma 2 arma OA and mount and blade warband and Red Orchestra 2 and its been 4 months - As well as reason 5 and lots of samples, so im not conviced i need the space, your right ill go for a 120gb because it will save some cash.
i would highly recommend this ssd > http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120gb-corsair-force-series-3-25-ssd-sata-iii-6gb-s-sandforce-read-550mb-s-write-510mb-s-85000-iops-p

Crucial M4 is a much better choice, cheaper than the Corsair too: http://www.ebuyer.com/266526-crucial-128gb-2-5-m4-ssd-sata-iii-6gb-s-read-415mb-s-write-175mb-s-ct128m4ssd2
Are you serious? the read and write speeds from the corsair far outdoes the m4
Looking at sequential speeds is useless because that's hardly ever the case in real world uses.
Ok thanks for the info but would you say this is a good build?

Would you just save money on the SSD? Like i said my last build had a 3.16Ghz dual core, core 2 duo processer in.... so im well out of date with the new stuff.
