Computer randomly refusing to register hits on the key 1

So my computer refuses to register me pressing 1 above Q. I can press it fine on the numpad but it's messing with my gaming since games don't register the numpad one as the same thing. I know it's not my keyboard because I can't press it even if I make a macro that presses it.
The weird thing is that it seems to completely randomly start working and then stop again. It doesn't start/stop at the same time as anything I do, even restarting my computer doesn't seem to have any kind of difference.
I haven't formatted my computer or installed anything that I think could cause this, and so far FP tech support has been quick and painless so I'm just throwing this out here.
Very strange problem considering that it seems to be software based. I'd assume either a virus or a system file has been corrupted. Try an anti-virus scan, if it doesn't pick up anything or fix the problem, open command prompt and type "sfc /scannow" without quotation marks and let the scan complete and see if that fixes the problem
Pop the "1" key out, see if the switch/rubberdone/whatever is damaged.
Have you dropped any luquids on your keyboard recently?

Didn't help. I'm starting to think that my computer has gained sentiency and it's a diabolical son of a bitch
