This has become so routine one wonders why you'd buy the version with half the content for $60 at launch day, unless you don't expect the multiplayer community to last more than a year.
"Most Critically Acclaimed game of 2012" Wait didn't most of your fans hate it?

do you know what "critically" is

Even then it's not the most critically acclaimed game on the 360, let alone across all consoles.
it's not even in the xbox top 10

I just assumed it meant that a lot people thought it was good.

Infinite came out this year (March 2013), this is about 2012. I think Mass Effect 3 got a score of 93 and may of been the highest reviewed game of the year.
I remember back when Game of the Year actually had meaning

I looked once several months ago during prime hours and there was about a thousand people playing total.

This is because the multiplayer is paced awfully and is all-round shit in a hard to describe sort of way. Also the UI design was rushed and the levelling system was bad.
Also, Peggle 2 is GOTY all years, and Halo 3 is GOTY until 2017 because it was named 'Game Of The Decade' by IGN iirc
It will include Spartan Ops Season 1, War Games Map Pass, the Halo 4 Champions Bundle, and the digital bonuses previously available to the Limited Edition.
Spartan Ops Season 1 was included for free anyway,
What's a War Games Map Pass?
Champions Bundle? What?

I basically just completed that first tier before you get your specialization, and stopped. I also got the armor for ridiculous number of assassinations because it looked cool and at least it was kinda fun to do.

Actually only half of Spartan Ops season 1 was free. If you didn't have the collectors edition you had to pay for the other half.

Microsoft is weird about shit like that. I mean, look at Sonic '06.

It sold well enough despite being the biggest modern bomb since Superman 64, that they made it a Platinum Hits. Yeah.
I remember back when Game of the Year actually had meaning
All it means now is "Game that came out this year" edition
They should just call it the DLC edition
Indeed. Who even decides what is game of the year anymore? The people who make/publish the game?
There are only a handful of games which I would consider the whole game of the year edition, like GTA 4 (it won a shit ton of game of the year awards), Fallout 3, Skyrim etc... But more recently nothing much really deserves the game of the year edition stamp.

You couldn't figure out that "critically acclaimed" would refer to being acclaimed by critics?
Gameturdmagazine gave it a 10/10 goty
Funniest headline I've read in ages.
Seems to me game of the year has more emphasis on "this game sold a retarded amount of copies." As opposed to say "this game is really good, everyone who's played it loves it and supports it."
Getting real sick of shit like this.
I actually think Halo 4 is the game with the fastest drop in playerbase I've ever seen. Last I saw, it barely peaked over 20k on high days for months. For comparison, the peak for GMOD this Tuesday morning was 25k.
yeah if at least one irrelevant game review site gave a game a 10/10 they can say game of the year edition
There should be a law that states you can only name GOTYs starting January of the next year.

weird, unless I'm misunderstanding the boundaries of 'Season 1' I got the bogstandard edition of Halo 4 and finished Season 1, or at least the bit they were up to at that point
Actually only half of Spartan Ops season 1 was free. If you didn't have the collectors edition you had to pay for the other half.
I thought you only needed xbox live and you get all the episodes.
Should totally be GOTYAY Edition instead, so it can stand among the ranks of other GOTYAY titles like Superman 64, Sonic 06, BROTRR, and WarZ.
I dunno about you people, but I thoroughly enjoyed Halo 4, and I'm looking forward to the next one. I thought the art style went in a new direction, and the gameplay was fun. I legitimately enjoyed the game, and it's story though I'm not quite sure what they're going to have happen next other than PLSREVIVECORTANA which is what I'm preeeetty sure is gonna happen, in which case, I'll probably play through the next one, then sell it.

How the fuck did Fez get so high?
How the fuck did Fez get so high?
it's a game with no challenge, critics love no challenge.
343 just doesn't want to admit that they made a shit Halo because it is like the only Halo that didn't win GOTY.
