• Software for a Panasonic camcorder?

A couple of relatives asked me to transfer a bunch of videos from a Panasonic VDR-D100 camcorder but I have no idea how to do it. On the website it says to download a program called HD Writer VE 2.0 but there's no links to it and google only comes up with dead links or japanese sites that are really confusing to navigate I tried taking out the mini disc inside the camera but it won't fit it regular drives, the hole in the middle is too small. Any other way to transfer the video files? Or if someone can help me find the link for the software that would be great
It looks like the camera uses standard mini DVD Rs. How do they not fit?
The hole in the middle of the disc can't fit any of the 3 laptops I have access to, my main DVD drive on my pc died so I can't try putting it in a regular sized drive
Went to a neighbor and we put the disc in a regular sized drive, it can't be read by windows nor cmd nor any other program, however the disc works fine in the camcorder No idea what to try next :why:
Verify there is not a setting on the camera similar to "VERIFY DISC" or "CLOSE SESSION". On some of the DVD camcorders the disc keeps the track open-ended so you can repeatedly record from the camera without the lengthy closing process. Closing the session finalizes the disc and should make it readable.
Yep that was it, after searching through every possible menu I found the finalize disc option, the only problem is that the camcorder needs to be plugged into the AC adaptor before being able to do that. Now I have to find a DC-DC cable that came in the box or make one if I can't find it in the local electronics store
