Do they just rename the previous game, update teams and what not, and release it the next year on PC's?
EA, egoistic assholes. If you put a lot of love into a game you can have it run on toasters and also have the graphical advantages on mega pc's. Or screw toasters all along and give us the damn new engine. What is this bullshit. Older games like the first harry potter games are completely different on pc from their console counterpart. And no one likes playing a downgraded version.
this happened with the previous generation too, for a year or two I think we got the PS2 versions of these games rather than the far superior 360 versions
i think it's so the system requirements don't jump up too quickly and exclude the 2 people who play these games on PC
Thank God that old goofy engine is coming back for at least one more game

Obviously not considering 14 is getting a new engine.
Fifa still comes out on PC?
Fifa still comes out on PC?
what is the actual market for this? i have never in my entire life seen or even heard of people playing fifa on pc, but it must be somewhat commercially viable or they wouldn't make them
Meh, the first FIFA iteration on next gen is always too raw. As long as PC gets the second or even third iteration unlike this gen where it only got the seventh iteration.
I was under the impression that FIFA was Xbox exclusive. Just goes to show how much the PC audience cares about it, I guess.

they've released every year for the PC since '96

I meant gameplay parity with the best console version.
FIFA 06 to FIFA 10 on PC used the same game engine as the PS2/Xbox games and FIFA 11 was the Xbox360 version of FIFA 10 with the updated rosters and no Ultimate Team.
Since FIFA 06, FIFA 12 was the first version to be on par with the strongest console version around.
wow, I had no idea it was this bad
those 2 guys who buy it must be kicking themselves
Are they using Frostbite engine or cryengine for the next game? In my opinion, you don't need an awesome game engine just to make a sports game like this.

I believe Frostbite. EA said they're basically doing everything in Frostbite 2 and 3 now.
They still need to fix pace...
