Lovely thumbnail to pick. Also $40 for an expansion pack man the days have changed.
Lovely thumbnail to pick. Also $40 for an expansion pack man the days have changed.
Sims ex packs have been $40 as a base price for literally ever. Stuff packs are $20. "Game packs", which are essentially mini ex packs in the Sims 4, are also $20 (and $10 for the sale). If you like the Sims 2 you'll probably love 4 then. And, as per usual, pick and choose your ex packs. They're not all required content.
50% off is always the good time to buy these packs because they never go cheaper than 50%, I don't believe I've ever seen The Sims 3 Expansions go for anything more 50% off. It's a weird thing, while I don't like other games having price tags like this, as I see them as being quite excessive, The Sims is different, it gives you extra content for a game that's not something you'll be playing for like 30 minutes at a time or so, it's a series in which you WILL be spending alot of time playing should you get into them. I mean they're still really fucking pricey, but I look at them the same way I look at Dominoes Pizza, don't buy full price, wait for a deal/sale then go for it.
I wouldn't consider buying it if Sims 3 didn't run like dehydrated asshole
if your wife told you that you could either have her or the sims and all packs which one

screw sims 4, either wait for sims 5 or buy sims 3 and wait until all the dlc will be free next year
it's 50% off ($25) in australia...
if your wife told you that you could either have her or the sims and all packs which one
I mean I can just as easily create a wife for myself in The Sims and in that if I don't like her at a point I can just build a room around her to trap her and win.

I think Sims 4 is the better GAME of the series, but it still lacks content that Sims 2 and 3 built up. It's getting there, but still a bit short. But what kills the game for me, and the last one, and the one before that, is the over priced expansions. Hey you had Sims 2 and all that content, why couldn't you give Sims 3 just half of that? Nope, re-buy for Sims 3. Hey you have all this content, why not give Sims 4 at least half that content? Nope, re-buy for Sims 4. It's painful. 50% off is what they should normally cost

Nah.
Honestly I could have gotten over axing either Create-A-Style or the Open World, but both was just awful
Honestly I may get it just because I've been craving the Sims experience for awhile.
