That cabinent is ugly but i would rather have faster internet.

The internet's practically fucked in the UK anyway, so I can see why they care more about protecting their 'historic streets' than uglifying it with more shitty broadband infrastructure.

I don't know why people are so desperate to protect the 'historical' landscapes at the expense of not keeping up to date with the rest of the modern world.
