mRyder is actually kinda..cute? I wouldn't have expected them to make the protagonist so not-macho seeming. Also:
Is it just me or do most of the animations look awful? Something just feels... janky. It bothers the hell out of me, especially when the game looks good visually.
You're not the only one to notice, the animations are just unpolished. Not to mention some faces look goofy especially the sister. The only ones who look better is Scott and the father.

It sort of reminds me of that Fallout 4 mod that ups everyone's facial expressions up a notch for some really extreme results. There are points in the video where Cora, Ryder, and the Doctor Natalie Dormer make crazy comic-relief faces for like half a second without any reason. Such as: I think Bioware tried to pump up the emotions real big like with the high definition faces, but it bumps a bit with the uncanny valley. I'm not complaining too much about that, though - seems like it could be funny. My issue currently is that mRyder seems to have a bit of a thug-life swagger walk.

It's like the expression of surprised and bewilderment. "Oh shit that actually just happened, didn't expect that."
If Natalie Dormer had a prehensile mouth you would be right, but she doesn't.
"There's a problem with his sister." *Leaves*
Bioware always had this thing where each line of dialogue doesn't quite seem to be related to the last, as if they're on the same subject but not part of a conversation, like the VAs are reading off a wiki page in separate rooms from each other or something. Good to see they're taking steps to solve that problem... Oh and btw, Natalie Dormer doesn't give a fuck and is just there for the paycheck. Stop hiring Hollywood actors: they're not experienced in game VA, don't give a shit and cost the project more money than other, better candidates.

If (Game of Thrones actor) is in it people will love it just like Game of Thrones!" Its almost like they've never heard of Destiny.
Did the asari's voice seem weirdly muddy and unclear to anyone else?
