“We are investigating why, but right now it is our mistake and we won't be 'confiscating' or rolling back characters which received certs.”
I'm impressed they're willing to take responsibility for their inability.

Though it seems a little unfair that these people are suddenly "All powerful" and are able to buy tonnes up upgrades whilst us peasants have to keep working for them. :/

Personally I wouldn't worry about it too much. I think I lot of players enjoy the game just because even if they're bored, they've got something to work for.
Being able to cert everything probably takes some enjoyment out of the game and not all of them are going to hang around. I don't know how common it was for people to receive this though.
These are people that spent upwards of hundreds of dollars in the game, even if they did only on double/triple SC, so they pretty much already had everything they want. The refunds are more directed at people that spent a reasonable amount in the game but weren't expecting account-wide unlocks.
Also they took bundles into account for duplicate items, that's why some people report getting refunds when they didn't buy duplicate items on different characters
Got 1200 certs out of nowhere. My only other char is a BR 1 with no upgrades at all.
Woah, I gotta check on this. Nothing would get me back into this like finding that I had a massive cert stockpile sitting around.
I didn't get anything.
There is no way they are going to keep it this way.
Too much money lost for them and a crippling blow to the balance.
grindside 2: the grinding, now with less grinds for those who paid (oh wait what's different)
I had like 50k store cash cause of all the AMD cards i had and redeemed, Was ballin in skins and guns

I got alpha squad and I didn't even get any compensation from this.
I am now 6,000 from the bottom of the server in cert points (5700) despite having 7 days of play time while people with a play time of 6 hours got 99,000 cert points.
gg

They could of had all of that anyway by paying for it (and, in essence, they paid for these too). That they didn't pay the normal amount and have access to all of the upgrades at such a reduced cost is a moot point since the option was always there to begin with, it's just up to someone willing to pay the money for it or not.
Though I agree that it feels shitty; however it comes with the territory of playing an online game that is designed around selling the advantage.
I don't like that territory, so I don't play the game anymore.
I didn't get anything but someone in my outfit got like 37K certs and someone on FP 100K, which allows you to unlock basically everything I believe :v:
