The wifi in my house is really slow to the point where i can't stream anything on my phone, laptop, and playbook. The router is located inside a walking closet. My house is roughly 3000 square meters big. Signal strength is good and the speed on speedtest.net is 15mbps down and around 1mbps upload. On wire my computer get around 50mbps down and 1mbps upload (upload sucks) What are some tips making the wireless run better around the house? I was gonna set up a repeater somewhere in the middle of the hallway on the main floor. Wait a second. What is your service provider?
Rogers, Canada.
tip one: Do not make a router send signals though solid objects and expect the signal to be the same strength tip two: someone must be doing something alot more heavy than you. go into the config menu for the router and look at the client list and go around and grab all the mac addresses that are connecting wirelessly. any that dont match up block them.
