Hey guys, I know this is an unusual request, but you never know what you'll find, right? Anyway, I got a 100 day paid internship ($33/day) in or near Honolulu, HI, and I will have to find a place to live for the duration. Are any of you from the area? I could use advice on apartments and rates. The closer it is to piers 39/40, the better. That's where I'll be working, and a short commute would be ideal. I'm not very picky, I just need something with at least the following: •Basic furniture (Bed, table, chairs) (2 beds is a plus, if I end up having a roommate, see below) •Bathroom •Fridge/stove •Internet access Throw anything you've got at me. I'll be getting paid $1000/month, and I will probably end up becoming roommates with a fellow student who got the exact same internship, so I/we can afford anything up to about $1200/month. I'm open to any possible options

look for student accommodation, I don't know how available it will be in the area you want but I currently live in a fully furnished place, my own room with furniture, common areas (living room, kitchen bathroom), all utilities including internet covered by rent and once a week a cleaner comes and cleans the common areas. Cost $920/mo but it is worth it considering the utilities and cleaning service. However this is in Australia where rent prices are high as fuck, my friend lives in a similar deal for $140 a week. [editline]6th April 2015[/editline] You also gotta realise that $1000 is not a lot of money to live on, especially when you have to pay a lot of rent. I would highly recommend getting your fellow student to find a place with you.
