People say it's an Overwatch clone, but I think this is so old it may have been announced even sooner, in a time when these games were called "just another MOBA" and not an "Overwatch clone". I thought it was released long ago and died.

People say this is an Overwatch clone?
It is closer to an more action based SMITE then it is to any FPS.
Sure you have a few shooter/ranged heroes but this game is really nothing like Overwatch.
Closer to MOBA really.
Paladins is an Overwatch clone.
Either way this game was actually pretty fun, has some new modes that isn't just another clone of existing games.
Although the marketing and all that is a bit lacking, not sure if it can survive.
The game was even announced before OW, so people calling it an OW clone are silly. Last I remembered (correct me if I'm wrong), it's not even an FPS but a TPS instead.

I never get the chance to fanboy over Paladins since nobody besides the 4 (maybe 5) Paladins players on FP give a shit about it, so I'll gladly take this opportunity and say it's a bit more complicated than that
Paladins didn't start out as a clone. Yes, it later went on to take a little more than just 'inspiration' from Overwatch, that's obvious, but it started out as a genuine effort to make an unique game. The knight character with a shield (regular metal one though), a charge, a hammer throw and a melee weapon was in the game before OW. So was the dwarf engineer, or the ice-themed hero with an ice block, or the big mech with dual machine guns driven by a small character. Turns out, a lot of the archetypes in both games have existed long before either of them went into development.
Yeah, things like that knight eventually getting a rectangular energy shield and the engineer now loading magma into his gun are a little harder to justify, but the meat of the game is still very much Hi-Rez's doing.
