I played some of this mod a while back, and I never really understood why it gets so much praise. It wasn't bad by any stretch, but I didn't see any reason to call it fantastic.

The reason it was so great was because it was released so long ago. Back then there weren't tons of Source mods even though there was still a decent amount, and because of that this mod stood out. It had an interesting and mysterious storyline along with the best architecture compared to the mods of that time. It's still incredibly fun to play and it was one of the main reasons I wanted to learn how Source worked, this game and Adam's story is pretty inspiring for people wanting to get into the modding scene. At least to me it was.
When I saw MI on the front page I thought this was gunna be about Missing Information, I'm sad now.

Having some good narrative is absolutely disgusting huh? It may be distasteful for you and maybe a handful of people but to everyone else it's excellent. The fact that you're focusing on that alone points out that you're here just to bash the mod.

One of the best single player mods for any game really
Kind of sad though that he doesn't really do level design at valve anymore afaik considering they don't seem to really be making many games these days lol

I love playing through Minerva, which is odd because I usually find half life 2 combat to be a chore.
