Get Professional. Better then Home, not the useless stuff of Ultimate. At least, in my opinion. And if OP will ever gonna need any of the extra functions, he can just get either aftermarket software to do the job, or upgrade windows later.
I got ultimate and its fine btw did windows 7 made my computer perform better? LOL Vista caused lag spikes and hell but Windows 7 helped a lot

If you are going to college right now get pro. http://www.microsoft.com/student/discounts/theultimatesteal-us/default.aspx [editline]Edit[/editline] Who disagrees with this you could get the regular student offer for home premium of pro for the same price.
64bit professional is well worth it in my opinion although I got it free from MSDN
Get premium, bro. You don't need all those useless extra functions and gizmos :science:
Free win xp mode is nice though.
it's not free when that's mostly what you're paying extra for
it's not free when that's mostly what you're paying extra for
The deal I posted has pro for 30 bucks.
