I recently bought GRID from the Steam summer sale as I got my new Logitech G27.
I didn't see any problems until now, almost in every race when approaching the first corner the game starts lagging terribly.
I have tried to set my settings to low, turning vsync on and off, etc... although I haven't tried updating my drivers (I'll do it now).
My specs:
Nvidia 8800GT 1GB
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2,7GHz
4GB DDR2 RAM @ 400MHz
64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium
I think it is caused by ambient occulsion. Go to nvidia control panel and turn it off.
