I've always wondered if people are taking dota 2 seriously.. Is it going to be a decent esport ?
Or do people generally deem it to be a flop ?
I guess most from HoN will leave it for Dota 2.

I'm gonna post some stats over here: Right now there are 42800 people playing Dota 2, 37366 people playing MW3, 46105 playing TF2. MW3 is a popular game, TF2 is F2P, Dota 2 has a still very limited beta. Yup, being taken seriously.

No the yearly million dollar international tournament hosted by Valve, or the 40,000 players playing all at once in a limited beta, or the constant streams of tournaments that are usually 5,000-10,000 viewers.
No one is taking it seriously, and judging by these statistics Dota 2 really is a flop, how pathetic valve.

It's going to be huge, just as big as LoL or maybe even bigger. If you look at the Steam stats page, you can see that it has more players than MW3, and has even peaked as the top-played game - and the game is still in closed beta.

I don't know if they changed him since the last time i played dota 1 but his long-range/short cool down was crazy fast pumping out Illusions like nothing.

You mean his 140 mana costing spell thats every 7 seconds, and the illusions cast by that spell only stay alive for 8, or take that 400% extra damage.
He is such a random hero that he cant be broken, he has such a low % on hit to spawn illusions and illusion damage only really comes into play when you are really farmed up because until then they are just distractions.
If you really think he is broken then I would love to hear your opinion on a lot of other heros.

Dota2 is the best game ever.
Even Max Payne 3 doesn't sound as interesting anymore, so the only two remaining games that I'm hyped about are Half-life 3 and GTA V.

Dust completely makes his dopplewalk pretty worthless, I know dust is scary to buy somtimes.
Ya I forgot, its gonna cost about $3,000+ for that diffusal for mana burn, thats not counting the items you would usually get before that if you were smart, like boots, wand, basillious, radiance.
You do realize how squishy phantom lancer is? Stun and focus him and hes dead in seconds.

If you really think ursa is op, jesus chirst, you do realize how easy you can shut down ursa, stuns and slows and some wards on rosh completely make him worthless.
No pro teams ever pick him, or even ban him because he isnt even a factor, hes not broken or OP in anyway.

Most HoN players I know have actually left for Dota 2, before returning because they deem HoN to be a generally better game. I personally prefer HoN over Dota 2, at least at the moment.

Pretty much happened with me and my friends, Used to play alot of dota 1 "I was always the support though" than the Hon invite only beta's came out.
We haven't stopped playing it since, We eventually tried and played some dota 2 matches and dominated near everymatch but we all agreed that HON was the overall better game.
