The point is that you don't have to use the internet. Just text in.
'standard messaging rates' means whatever your service provider charges for texts :eng101:

I just made a facebook, now im getting friend requests pretty quick. I just wanna know if these request are recommendations from one friend or are these actual request are from the actual people.

These are actual requests. They recommend you to people you may know, and those people have to click to request you.
no you don't. I use it and it counts as texts.
