My cousin is planning on purchasing one of the following netbooks. I made a pick for him, which I won't say which is, but he keeps on saying that I don't know what I'm talking about. So I turned to the experts (you) to give me your opinion to which is the best netbook.
Please include a reason to why you picked the one that you picked.
I won't tell you my pick so I wouldn't influence your pick.

Thanks!
I always though the Samsung was best, it has the "best" graphics as the card has 128mb of its own memory not stolen from the ram, which is better for games/photoshop (GMA booster and a overclock to 1.9Ghz seems to make these netbooks have the ability to game)
They game? Really?
Hmm..
I don't think he's looking to game though.

I've seen Oblivion run on one before. It was in fullbright and tweaked to hell and back, but it was running ~25 fps if I remember correctly.
Can't you at least tell us what he will be doing, we can't just say that one is the best, they're all suited to different tasks.
He's going to do web browsing, instant messaging, and watching online videos/movies.
Well, make sure to really read the specs, I didn't click on any of those links, but alot of netbooks can only have 1g of ram
Any netbook with the nvidia chipset is worth the cash. It's still a netbook though.

ION netbooks are the best netbooks, I might buy one when they are in the UK and they can hackintosh
you telling us your pick would not affect our choice. trust me.

Ion is a no, n10j is a yes
My Mum has the Samsung. My Dad has the Eee PC. Go with the Samsung. Faster, better looking, more space (In my case) and faster.
The best notebook would be performance/price.
If you can't do the math you need go back to highschool or else you ain't ever going to get a job.

Actually no.
The size is one crucial factor, and so is the quality of the keyboard, unless you don't write much.
The expansion ports are also one factor, some netbooks have xpresscard slot and some don't.
Battery life also varies.
Get back to Uni.
I'd go for the EEE.
EEE 1000HE is nice.
My 8.9" Acer Aspire One is nice, I think the 10" models are better though.
Get an Dell 9, you can hackintosh it outta fuck
Dell Mini 9 make great Hackintoshes. Here's a list of Netbooks if you want OS X:

The MSI Wind is also a great hackintosh.
Almost everything works, just watch out for the models with the Sentellic touchpads, they suck.
My friends mom had an MSI Wind and it actually made me want one. And I think netbooks are fucking gimmics.

I like how people think that everything they don't love and want is a gimmick
they're small, incredibly portable and they have huge battery lives
not a fucking gimmick

It runs half-life 2! Super duper crazy tweaked.

You don't even have to write it, on firefox you just highlight the word, right click and click "google "hackintosh""

Most people who buy them try to stuff Half Life 2, World of Warcraft, CSS, and other games on them. They take a netbook designed to do web surfing and light work and turn them into a piece of shit that runs grand theft auto at 25fps for an hour.
Most people buy them ask, "Can it run <insert old game>." Most people buy them and try to trick them out. Sure it's cool for the first few weeks, but then it sets in that you could of spent 100 dollars more and bought a laptop that could run all those games just fine.
They weren't created gimmics, but they became gimmics. You can get a slightly bigger laptop for just a little bit more that runs a lot better.
All I'm trying to say is, don't fucking buy it just because you can fit a fucking game on it! The whole, "Look, my tiny laptop can play Half Life 2," will get old after a while. If I were to buy one, it would to be to experiment with Linux Distros or hackintosh. I would probably put some music on it too and an emulator with a few roms for when I go to my dads.
Yeah, 15" sledgehammer is heavy, it feels like a brick to hold after my 8.9" AAO. I can even operate it while standing, writing with my thumbs!

Not really, I'm still psyched that my AspireOne plays HL2 at like 15-20FPS and I got it in April. Can't run CSS though, got it to run Goldeneye:Source on DX5 once though at like 30FPS. For something that I bought for school to do schoolwork, browse the net, and listen to music, it surprised me. Just be careful, it likes to lag on detailed movies (including youtube).
