Okay, so I had problems before with 11.7 and got 11.8 in the hope that it would fix my problem instead that made my problem even worse.
When I am playing any game after a while the drivers crash and recover, in that time my computer is unresponsive until the drivers recover.
It didn't do this with 11.6.
I re-installed windows yesterday because my computer was a fucking mess and I thought that had something to do with it.
I install 11.8 play some Trackmania 2 and the same thing happens.
These are my specs:

And I run a dual screen setup.

Also have you had any crashes? If so, you may have some corrupted data on your HDD, open cmd and type 'chkdsk /f' then answer 'y' to the y/n question. Reboot and let it fix it.

Oh, sorry I fixed it myself, it was the catalyst A.I. screwing things up.
I turned off pretty much everything in the catalyst A.I. setting and everything is fine now.
