7+
it's a wonderful phone so i'm fine with sticking with it for another year. i bought it at release but i got it replaced during the summer because my screen cracked so the battery is still mint.
I don't know why rumours are saying Apple is going to show off two generations of iPhones(7S, and now the 8?). Has Apple done this before?

I think the closest to that is the release of the 5c and 5s
I've got a 6s right now, I'll definitely get an 8 or 7s if either have a headphone jack. I know this whole jack thing is been discussed to the moon and back but I just can't give it up considering I'm using it for earbuds and AUX almost daily

Majority of leaks showing that it, of course, will not have the headphone jack.
But of course they'll be removing even more features such as the fingerprint sensor, opting for a face ID only for security.

Face recognition sounds way less secure than fingerprints. Will be interesting to see if apple is ready to take the risk.
lets see which feature that has been on Android phones for a long time will apple claim is revolutionary on the 8

iOS doesn't even have a proper homescreen like Android, widgets would look terrible

The rumors going around are saying that it is far more secure than Touch ID and is far quicker. I am skeptical however I don't think Apple would ship something that is less secure than what is already there. Apparently it will have a 4K 120FPS front facing camera with an IR camera as well to determine depth information so it can't be fooled with the traditional methods like a photograph. Hoping Apple does it well which encourages other manufacturers to also do it well, because good face recognition is something I've wanted for a long time, but I've never seen it done super well on a consumer product like a phone.

Widgets already exist on iOS, in the Notification Center. It's likely they will never exist anywhere but there either. I think they've been around for 2-3 years now.
i bet they'll remove all cables and make a completely wireless phone in all aspects because they're brave and revolutionary
Was an Android user since smartphones were even a thing really, but switched to an iPhone last year and will never go back. As a Developer they're just so nice to work with, and I love the consistency between everything.
