For some reason, every hour or so, Facepunch logs me out and I have to log in again, however, most of the time I don't even need to enter my username and password and it successfully logs me back in anyways.
I have already cleared cache & history, restarted Chrome & restarted my computer with no effects. Any ideas how to possibly fix this?
im having this problem too its kind of annoying
just a lil
but still annoying
the splash page facepunch.com shows me logged out or comes through weird, I have to click on a subforum first to show logged in
It keeps happening to me too. If I click the fp icon I'm logged back in though.
If it's not your browsers nuking the cookie, it's possible there's something funny going on with the Cloudflare caching layer - they only cache the guest view (for obvious reasons), so if you're hitting the cache servers instead of being served a new page from the actual servers, it'll show you as logged out.
Do you use any anonymity or cleaning software on your browser/pc?
Something might be deleting your cookies every hour.
As some other kind Facepuncher told me in Making FP better :
Re: The many login posts (and because I haven't seen a full explanation yet)
The issue is that http://www.facepunch.com != https://facepunch.com. While the bb_sessionhash (temporary key used to identify you over a short period of time) token is shared between https and plain http sites, bb_password and bb_userid (combined are used to log you in after long periods of time) are strictly https only. When your session is still active, you can freely switch between the secured and non-secure version of the site. But when your session expires, you have to visit the secure site to be logged back in.
For a quick fix, bookmark the HTTPS version of the site. For a permanent fix, FP should stick to a single protocol (HTTPS). Clearing cookies is generally good advice, but it won't do anything about this.
Make sure you bookmark the https version of the website
HAppens here as well. Thought it was just my cookies being shit but I guess not.
There used to be some problem with HTTPS ages ago, but after Gayray fixed that, I immediately switched to HTTPS only, no wonder I didn't have problems.

The https everywhere browser extension'll do this too, for every website
