Can I reinstall windows without having to reinstall anything else?

Okay so my windows XP installation is kind of messed up. I always get error 1324 and can't install some programs. So how do I reinstall windows so that I don't have to reinstall any programs/drivers etc?

You can't. You can either repair windows, or do clean install. Clean one will delete everything on that partition

Okay so will simply repairing windows do? Because I have windows in russian, if I put in an english CD will it change it to english?

Repairing windows is supposed to just replace missing or corrupt windows components, so probably not. But I've never tried so I couldn't say for sure.
