I see this being the same as piracy: They wouldn't buy the game anyway. Same deal here. If they don't socialize with signal, they might not socialize without signal either.

Haha yeah the only reason anyone is ever on their phone when they're out with friends is to update their status
The thing that too many people fail to understand is that just because people are checking social media every so often doesn't mean that they can't be invested in their current social situation. People blame technology for us becoming less social when in truth it's more likely that having shit like 'stranger danger' shoved in our face since childhood and sensationalist media's adoration of portraying the worst of humankind at any opportunity (ie 'florida man') has probably had a negative impact on how we function socially. I think that it's safe to say that we've become a little more paranoid and are less social as a result.

When I've been drinking I usually use my phone to call for a ride instead of driving or stumbling down the street alone.
