When playing games do you destroy everything?

I noticed that whenever I play games, I always stop to destroy every prop. In hl2 for example, I'll stop in any room and just whip out my crowbar and start pounding away at anything that is normally breakable. But I get really annoyed if the prop has infinite health.

My friend also does the same thing, his excuse for it is " with less things on the screen, the smoother the game will run, and the less the physics system has to compute, which can also decrease lag online.

So, Are you destructive, do you prefer to leave props intact?

I was kinda confused as to whether I should post this here or in the video games section. But I chose here since it's more of a "post your gaming style " question.

In the indie game VoxelStein, i try to destroy as much as possible without breaking the game.

Depends on the game. GTA games, no... I just go on rampages killing everyone. I like my car to stay undamaged.

Not really, I break some stuff but quickly grow tired of it. In Battle Field: Bad Company I love exploding shit up though and break all the walls and shit, unless it's bad for our side in terms of strategy.

prototype is cool, pretty much any action you perform can accidentally kill half a dozen people and wreck some cars or some shit
