no tie to the original game. :disappoint:
no tie to the original game. :disappoint:
Maybe the twist is these experiments were performed on humans by the aliens, before they invaded Earth for whatever reason... but that may be too optimistic. Edit: Oh, isn't the new Doom completely ignoring the existence of Doom 3 ? If so, forget what I said, original Prey is dead.
But id isnt arkane, that's a wild assumption
isn't the new Doom completely ignoring the existence of Doom 3 ?
Is it? I feel like Doom2016 could take place a long time after D3. The soul cube's in it too, but not usable.

That sounded so awesome on the paper. God I hope they pick up the concept of the old Prey 2 one day.

[SP]In fact, this Doom indicates that literally every Doom is canon, as what happens is a cycle with common elements. The Doomguy/Doom Marine eventually figured out that he was stuck in the cycle, which most seem to think happened during Doom 64, and he basically became completely bent on destroying Hell as thoroughly as he could every time it invaded, even breaking out of the cycle himself. There are several hints at the events of the previous games like the Soul Cube and the Icon of Sin. As well as various logs and the story told by the demons in Hell itself.[/SP]
