• Paint.net not detecting the vista SP1
    2 replies, posted
A requirement for paint.net, the free image software program, is to get the SP1 pack for vista, located http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=f559842a-9c9b-4579-b64a-09146a0ba746&displaylang=en&pf=true However, I got it from windows updater, as it was more functional according to the page. After which, I tried to install paint.net, and it gives the same error. Do I need to manually dl it from the link to make it work? And if I do, will it overwrite the SP1 pack already in there?
Try installing sp2
Upgrade to Paint.COM instead of trying to figure out why .net refuses to work. It is free, portable (runs on anything from Windows 2000 up), faster then .net and can use Photoshop plug-ins.
