I will run this as an auction for a day, bid as much as you want, with no minimum between bids (as long are bids are valid, please) and the highest bid 24 hours from post creating can have it for that price. Bids in £ please, UK only and payment by PayPal. I'm not going to LOSE money on this - so the winning bidder must pay for the courier as well, sorry! (£15). So the server; As seen above it is a 1U server, no rail kit included. It has 2x HDD spaces (mounts included), but NO HDD's. (IDE/ATA) RAID Controller NO RAM. (Takes PC2100 ECC DDR SDRAM Memory, expandable to 4 GB) PSU. Pentium 4 2.26GHz Has 2x Gigabit ethernet ports Runs server 2003 happily. (No licence included). CD + Floppy with RAID and system drivers included on floppys and CD's. LET THE BIDDING COMMENCE! (Mods, if this is not OK, please just remove it without any hassle, K?)

£1.01 In all seriousness this is really dumb. List it on eBay.
£1.01 In all seriousness this is really dumb. List it on eBay.
Don't want it, don't care how much I sell it for.
£1,000,000.
Oh ok. Well in that case I've been looking to get a file server up and running. Could also use it as a router I guess. How big is it? WxHxL If I can fit it in my wardrobe I'll probably buy it.
Standard 1U width and depth - if you look it up you'll find it. It's around 4.5cm high.
I am a bit of a novice when it comes to this so bare with me. As far as I can tell 1U refers to the height of the unit, 1.75 inches, not width and depth. According to wikipedia the standard rack mount width is 19 inches and depth is 39.4 inches, is that right?
I will bid $2.50. Serious
Ok, but I ain't posting to U.S unless you want to pay shipping for that.
Ok, but I ain't posting to U.S unless you want to pay shipping for that.
How much would that be?
Probably a bazillion bucks.
£3.39
£5 :smug:
How much would that be?
Too much considering how many people sell refurbished servers for cheap in the US
5.25
6.50

1 cent more than the last person
In all seriousness OP. This will work 500% better if you just put it on Ebay.
How much would that be?
To post to VLN in Texas - this is the UPS quote. U.S is out, boys.
dear god i'm not paying that
No I meant for the UK, I have a friend who wants a server and was going to pay it for him. But it's kinda over my budget heh.
1 cent more than the last person
going by that, I say £900,253,151.29
Hah, I have a DL360 G3 and it's noisy.. I hate to think what a Second Generation 320 would be like.
I would seriously buy this and attach it under my desk as it has some form of rails underneath it could be attached to, but noise would be a major issue as I would have it on 24/7.

Ok, Highest bid is £7 from TehWhale. It is noisy yes, but not too bad once drivers are installed and fans are regulated.
