That's cool but if it has another shitty loot system like the first one, they can keep it. People don't have 500 hours to get to the good weapons.
hopefully this one has better melee combat and a less terrible loot system
I certainly dont mind cosmetics but basically locking people out of difficulties unless they grind for hundreds of hours for these amazing trinkets/gear is bull.
Maybe this one will actually work without crashing 24/7.
I tried it in the free weekend with a friend one time and I just didn't enjoy it tbh. Hitting stuff didn't feel rewarding and it doesn't introduce new players very well.
Vermintide feels like it was really close to being a good game
Hopefully with a second one they'll polish it up a bit, then it might be real fun
Honestly, the only problem I really had with the game was the performance. Seeing the framerate drop into the single digits was bizarre. It was a ton of fun otherwise and I'm excited to play more.
I thought the combat in the first one felt really good.
Not happy that they're doing a sequel already. Sienna didn't even get any new unlockables for her despite needing a new melee the most.
Going by the looks of things too, they're reusing the same exact engine, so it's going to suffer the same issues as the first.
Maybe I'm just salty that the last proper DLC we got we only had one new weapon instead of 2, one less map than usual and only one of them worth playing.

Same actually. It IS clunky in some places though, namely weapon swapping and action queuing, but both can be fixed with mods. After that it becomes so much more responsive and fun, but it annoys me they couldn't be bothered to do the work themselves.
I'm also worried that the sequel is just going to pick and choose mods from the community and make them official to justify making a new game (looking at you shield-rats mod).
It's a given we'll have new characters to play as; was the most requested thing on the subreddit but fatshark kept saying the current group of heroes was too "tight-nit". I'm sad I won't get to play as Salty or Bardin again though.

it felt really basic and bland compared to even left 4 dead 2's combat. barely any feedback, and not much of a meaty punch to anything.

That's like, the exact opposite for me. Everything felt like it had weight in this while L4D has always been too weightless for me.
