I currently have the phenom II x4 965 BE and an Asus M4A77 motherboard.
Mobo: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM2Plus/M4A77/
Was considering to upgrade my CPU to a i5 2500k and get a compatible motherboard that has crossfire support.
Is it worth upgrading? Or should i just wait it out and see the new cpus thats going to be released in the future?
What's the rest of your build? You may just want to upgrade the mobo, the processor is still decent.
I have 6 gigs of ddr2 ram (2x2 is 800mhz, the 2x1 is 667mhz)
My graphics card is the 6950 HD.
Only thing i really need to upgrade is ram which requires a new mobo so i was just looking at the i5 sandy bridges.
Also is there a way to buy a new harddrive and transfer my current hd to the new one?
What's your budget?
No budget. But I've decided to just save my money until new cpus come out to the market and I'll probably build one around christmas when everything is on sale.

Why do you need new cpus? Sandy bridge is new, and are far more power than you're going to use.
