I'm just an average computer gamer,
I don't really know the difference between graphics cards other than from my experience I seem to get better longevity and performance from Nvidia cards.
I currently have a GT220 and I am looking for and upgrade so that I can play new and older games more efficiently. I'd also preferably like to be able to run at least DirectX10.
My current specs:
Nvidia GT220
3.2gz Dual Core CPU
12GB Ram
My cpu seems fine so I don't think I need to upgrade it just yet.
My budget is roughly between £60-£100 max.
Games I currently play: Warframe (Runs perfectly if I turn off fancy features like HDR), Anno 2070 (Runs like shit on this card, pretty much low settings).
Help would be much appreciated.
Can anyone recommend any good ones?
For that price range you are looking at the 7770, 7790, 650, and 650 Ti. You can also go with some older higher end cards that perform the same, and you might get those a bit cheaper.
At a glance this was the best deal I could find, but I guarantee you if you go hunting you can find something better, especially if you are willing to buy used: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvr779oc1gd
I got myself a ati 7870hd oc and I'm pretty satisfied
Bf 4 on high settings runs great and on ultra there are some framedrops
It's around 180 Euro now I think

That is not between 60 and 100 pounds.

mine was 150€
Some of the people in this thread appear to be bad at math or reading budgets.
I recently upgraded from a gt220 to a 650ti and I feel that it was a good choice, I'd reccomend that.

Gigabyte's cooling is better than Asus's from experience. Also more reliable.

The cheapest gigbyte is £17 more and the cooler isn't nearly as good

In benchmarks, gigabytes and MSI is the top two and Asus and EVGA are right behind them, but the temperature difference in just a few degrees, so either is good. Don't just say "nope nope nope nope".
Wait, a GT 220, a dual core CPU but 12gb of ram? I smell prebuilt.
If it is, the GT 220 probably pulls all its power from the PCI slot. OEMs don't like people changing their computers, so there is a chance there are no 6/8-pins connectors on the PSU, limiting your options greatly when it comes to GPUs unless you get another PSU.
I'd say in the event it's a prebuilt pull open the case and see if it has 6-pin cables in the GPU/laying around.

It could still have a Molex connector.
