Wondering what the political views of facepunch users are.
This is a liberal cull thread for Tudd, isn't it?
This is a liberal cull thread for Tudd, isn't it?
Shhh... :) When the liberal voters' accounts suddenly go inactive, we'll all know why...
isnt the opposite of liberal authoritarian? and the opposite of conservative progressive? you can be one of each [editline]2nd April 2017[/editline] for example, an authoritarian progressive wants to force people to improve, and a liberal conservative wants to let people do what they want, so long as it isnt helpful

Didn't want to get too far into detail.
I used to think I was just "whatever makes sense" but over time I've realized that the things that make sense to me are all part of the democrat platform whereas all the opposition to those things seem to come from the republican one.
I'm fairly liberal on most issues, but I think so many of the social platforms these days are fiscally irresponsible that I'd likely be considered conservative or centrist at best.
I don't use labels
terrible poll questions loool. Fiscally I've become relatively conservative to most here recently but I'd rather kill myself than vote republican RN because of their stance on issues such as LGBT rights/acceptance, climate change, etc. along with their economic inconstistencies and disasters. If you're a thinking person there's pretty much only the democrats. Unless you're VERY heavily a single-issue voter.
centrist ftw
I'd classify myself as somewhat conservative in some regards - culturally conservative in a sense - but economically (especially) and with regards to social policies I'd say I'm solidly in the red, pun not entirely unintended. This is according to the Danish spectrum, though, I don't think it's very useful to navigate opinion according to the US line because then everyone would be a socialist around here. People have a funny habit of treating them as analogues, though - people here in Denmark who support policies left of the democratic party (but to the right of the Danish spectrum) for some reason support Republican policies. Kinda like the current situation with Turks in rather liberal countries supporting Erdogan when it comes to Turkish politics I guess.
I don't even know what I am. Living in a second world country where they don't teach us this kind of stuff makes me feel super confused with all the "grr lefties/righties" specially during this time
I have no idea what either one is
In my country Liberal and Conservative are (essentially) the same thing
I am neither, nor am I a centrist. EDIT: why a disagree?
is this an american only thing
if i were in America id go center left but ill just click liberal for now
Would of loved a libertarian option. I picked centrist.
cant assume everyone on the left is liberal and everyone on the right is conservative, politics are a spectrum of ideologies and the likes
these words mean nothing to communism
centrist, but leaning towards liberal.
im a cuck
Im not sure, since sometimes i lean toward liberal or conservative or maybe both of them. I think im a centrist
Left-libertarian or libertarian socialist.
uhm hi where is the neo-alt fascistocratic nuconomist option? This poll is biased.
Where the hell is the National Socialist German Worker?
I think of myself as Liberal and voted as such on this poll, but I think it depends on what you mean by the word. I think people deserve freedoms, and protections, both granted by the government and from the government. I think society has to be united in common cause, and willful in embracing one another with human compassion. However, I also believe there should be a clear-cut and universalized code of law, and civic protections. I believe that society cannot be, "the 51 taking away the rights of the 49," or, "the young eating the old." I believe that it is okay for there to be a place for "traditionalists," in society, even if some people find their views or ways of life repugnant, same as there should be a place for, "progressives," on the same terms. On a lot of topics, I'd be called a Centrist or a Conservative, because I believe there is nothing "liberal" about certain attitudes or solutions to some of the problems we face, which means I do not sit in the big tent of "liberal" when the party cards get handed out.
