Haha that is pretty pathetic
Surprising no one, Blizzard have "discovered that some players who’ve lost Hardcore characters through normal gameplay will fake an account compromise and request a rollback through Customer Support in order to get their characters revived."
That's pretty fucked, that you would orchestrate a fake account compromise to get your hardcore character back. Isn't the whole point of the game mode to feel the rush of near-death knowing that the stakes are that much higher?
Bring out your dead. Diablo 3's hardcore characters will no longer be able to result to rollbacks should the find Death's cold icy grip upon their vulnerables.
Uhh... What?

I don't play Diablo 3 but I'm fairly certain that makes no goddamn sense at all.

Some people care that much about pixels.
We call these people "PermaVirgins".

And if you aren't prepared to lose everything in a single moment, you shouldn't be playing hardcore mode to begin with.
People are still playing this? Can't help but feel these stragglers are a bit deluded. "It'll g-get better! Blizzard can fix it! Wait till the expansion!"
The only way the game will ever get better is if they scrap the RMAH (which by itself seriously harms the integrity of the game) and rework the entire skill/progression system. They basically need to start from square one and scrap the Diablo 3 that exists now. There are too many flaws with the game to fix with patches.
Blizzard doesn't fix fundamentally flawed games. That would require an overhaul of an entire game which they either don't know how to do or won't do.

"Stragglers"
It has more CCU during prime time than Torchlight 2. POE has more but it's unfair to compare two paid titles for a free one. It's also getting patched more reliably than TL2. People are likely still playing it because they enjoy it more than the other ARPG's they could be playing.

RMAH and the skill system aren't fundamental flaws, the RMAH has nothing to do with the fundamental aspects of the game and the skill system is simply a different way of handling character progression just not the way you want. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with it.
I remember those haunting lvl99 ghosts in the chat room in D2.. Scary shit.
huh i thought dota 2 and legue coupled with blizz's awfullyawsome handling of diablo patches killed the game
