• My PC is making a buzzing noise under load.

A few months ago my PC would always buzz only under a lot of pressure, like playing BF3 on max settings. Over the months it has got worse and worse, now I can't even play Super Monday Night Combat without it buzzing! It sounds like an electronic buzz, not high pitch and not low pitch, a standard and extremely annoying electronic like buzz. A friend said for some reason that it's the CPU fan bearings, so I replaced my CPU fan and that didn't help. For some bizarre reason it seemed to buzz less when I turned my PC on it's side, I think maybe because then the fans aren't pretty much leaning against my wall. Playing Saints Row just now I got a max CPU temperature on 72 Degrees on my second core. Here's my basic specs: - Intel i5 2500k Quad Core - Geforce GTX 460 Nvidia - 4GB RAM - Alpine 750W Psu - Gigabyte Z68XP - UD3P Please Help!
Prolly a fan, if you use a fan controller you can turn them off one by one till you find the culprit. assuming you dont have a fan controller, unplug one fan, and then start the system- repeat till you find the bad one.

Could be capacitor whine, which is perfectly normal.
Could be capacitor whine, which is perfectly normal.
I'm inclined to concur with this, easiest way to check would probably just be to replicate the whine and stick your ear up to it. OP, what make / model of PSU did you buy? If it's really pissing you off, you might want to consider contacting support / doing an RMA.

I've put my ear inside before, doesn't sound like it's coming from the psu but I'm probably wrong.
Use a tube on your ear and see what component it is. Could be PSU or video card, or both.
