Fallout 3 crashing seconds after entering wasteland

Fallout 3 had been working perfectly fine for a while. I got past the GNR Radio Station bit, went back to megaton to restock ammo and the like, then left megaton... Crash. Reloaded, after a few seconds, crash. Disabled mods that weren't essential, still crashed. After a bit of tinkering, I found out that if I managed to wait (in-game) for a few hours, it wouldn't crash. So I wandered around, everything was working fine, went to the super-duper mart, that worked. Exited the game, re-enabled my mods (as they weren't the cause of the crashing, I had found out), loaded, and it didn't crash. Exited the super-duper mart, and the same shit happened: It crashed a few seconds after going outside. Does anyone know why the fuck this is happening? I don't want to have to re-start all over again, and I love the mods I have right now (they worked perfectly fine before! :/)... I could really use some help with this one. Thanks.
Mess around with the load orders in FOMM?
Check for conflicts aswell, etc.
1. Is your graphics card overheating?
2. Are all of your drivers up to date?
3. Is your power supply big enough?

1. No, it gets to around 63C under 100% load.
2. Yes, I JUST updated them and I'm still getting crashes.
3. Yes, it's plenty big enough for my card (AGP HD2600).
I've managed to avoid the crashes for the most part by doing the waiting thing, though I still crash when entering certain areas. It seems like the crashing has become a lot less frequent, so the game is pretty playable, but I'm still getting crashes every hour or so. Quite annoying and immersion-breaking.
After playing for a while and taking mental notes on when the crashing occurs, I believe I've narrowed it down. It seems like something variable is causing the crash; For example, I always crash after leaving megaton, no doubt about that. However, while doing a quest for Moira, I went to the molerat sewers (forgot the actual name), did all that, went back and turned the quest in. Then, I fast travelled to the same area (to get closer to the mirelurk place), and I crashed a few seconds after that. Note, that when I did the quest, it was night-time, and when I fast travelled, it was day-time. I'm beginning to think it might be a NPC or weapon that's causing the crash. I checked in FO3Edit for conflicts, but none showed up. I'm going to try and see if it's a mod problem (this time I'm going to dig a bit deeper with this). I really want to get this sorted out, as I fucking LOVE this game and would hate to see it get ruined by such an annoying and frustrating thing.
Edit:
Found out it's not mods. Disabled EVERYTHING except for the main fallout3.esm and the DLCs, still getting the fucking crashes. God damn it. I'm going to re-install, re-patch, and see if it STILL crashes. If it does... :suicide:
Edit 2:
Reinstalling fixed it. I'm not sure why, but I don't give a fuck, as long as it stays fixed. Happily enjoying roleplaying a STALKER now :D
Looks like your PC has too much radiation
