This seems like the most answered and most common problem.
But now mine won't stop.
Things about this.
1. I am not vac banned.
2. My signal strength to my router is clear.
3. My firewall is permitting it.
4. I re-installed TF2 and it still happens.
5. I restarted my computer and steam multiple times.
6. I have changed my rates repeadtly.
7. and i have looked everywhere for an answer.
Please facepunch, your my last hope with this. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
1) What is the error message its giving you?
2) Try to hard-wire into the router instead of wireless.
1. Could not connect to vac server
2. My computer is downstairs, my router is upstairs.
My signal is always good, so im doubting its my connection.
Try it anyway just to rule out its a wireless problem.
See if the problem persists after using a wired connection
Is peerguardian or peerblock running in the background?
i don't know what peerguardian or peerblock is. And i can't wire it to my modem because modem is upstairs, im down here.
So you ask for help yet don't do the advice we give you?
i don't know what peerguardian or peerblock is. And i can't wire it to my modem because modem is upstairs, im done here.
You can kindly fuck off then.
Maybe he is unable to move it upstairs, it could be a desktop. It may just be that it is a burden to move it upstairs, or he could live in an apartment block with a shared wireless connection.

Seeing as he said its his router im assuming he owns it unless stated otherwise. And if he wants to solve the problem he just needs to move laptop/desktop once to rule out a wireless problem.
I thought there was a patch released about this problem, but the beta of steam didn't get it yet, are you using the steam beta?
Because it seems you guys don't understand.
This is a desktop. located downstairs. My modem and router are located up stairs. I can't go directly to my modem.

Kial yes i am, i just disabled to see if there's a difference.
Nat settings there I said it.
Port forwarding there I said that too.
It's your routers fault.
If applicable stop trying to steal wireless.
If not you need a better router you shouldn't ever have to set up port forwarding to play.
