Hell yes! It was disappointing to find this wasn't already on the store when I got my 3DS.
Huh? My friend owns the game for 2-3 days already. (Europe here)
Nintendo really doesn't know how to manage their e-shop. They have a gigantic Catalog to pick and choose from and they're slowly, Agonizingly trickling them out bit by bit, Hell they could do 3 games a week from their older collections and it'd still be better, Also, why can't I play n64 games(which Still aren't on the e-shop) with my wiiu controller yet nintendo?

I think they do know how to manage their eShop but its more placed on strategics. For example they don't release Gameboy Advance, SNES or even N64 games on the 3DS eShop simply because right now the 3DS is doing well enough compared to the not-so-good going Wii U.
So they keep those virtual consoles till they enter a period where there are no big games coming out to keep the audience coming.

So...right now? Sure mario Kart is coming in a month, But from there the only "date" we have on anything is that the new Smash is coming out Winter this year.
Why does it take them so long to drop VC shit? I remember Wii having constant virtual console releases. Now we're getting basic old standby SNES/Nes games and GBA games which ideally should actually be really on the 3DS? What gives? Where's the N64 games? Something that isn't the same shit we've all bought before.
It dissapoints me to no end they never rereleased SNES Star Fox, I just got done finishing it for the nteenth time. I much preferred it to Star Fox 64.

Because there dumb. They spent allllllllllll that time porting alllllllllllllll those games on Wii VC and then just to turn around and do it allllll over again, from the beginning. And it takes them 10 years to release anything
What the fuck? I've had SMB3 on my 3DS for months.
This article is refering to the US eShop.
Yeah, SMB3 has been out in Japan and Europe for a while now but it only just hit the NA systems for some unknown reason. I've had it on my Japanese 3DS for ages, alongside the rest of the SMB series which also took forever to leave Japan. The ROM images are nearly identical; there's no reason to take this long. They're obviously staggering the releases on purpose, but I can't figure out why.
Nintendo of Europe is really doing a better job than NoA lately on the digital front. The demo for Mario Golf: World Tour just hit in Europe but NA won't see it for another week for some reason. Meanwhile, NA still hasn't gotten the free SMBDX bonus deal that both Europe and Japan did at the beginning of the year. Why??
I also wish that they'd hand off more Virtual Console development to M2. They let M2 handle the GBA games on Wii U and the result is awesome; it's so nice to have so many display options. While I don't prefer them myself, I know the smoothing filters made a lot of people happy. Would be nice if we had more options like that for other VC games; I'd much prefer to display NES games on 3DS in 1:1 pixel ratio, even if that makes the aspect off. The games are just too blurry as they are and they fuck with my eyes.

They got worse times ahead. In terms of timing i think Nintendo has done it right so far. (Not that i am happy with it)
