It isn't mentioned in the article, but odds are by "PC" they mean Minecraft for Windows 10. It's probably obvious though, since it would look bad for them if they somehow got cross platform play working on the Java version before the other things they could be working on.
So they are gonna sell texture packs and shader packs now? If they gonna use that new shop they announced, not sure if that was only for mobile edition. 4K the buzzword of E3 2017.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if they made different shaders to sell.

Meh there isn't really any reason to play the Windows store version, all the mods are on the java version and I doubt that'll change any time in the near future. Minecraft is completely boring without the mods.
